MAMLS Call for Nominations
There are a few positions on the Board opening up for 2025 year. We are looking for a Vice president (3 year term), Executive Assistant (2 year term), Marketing and Communications (2 year term), Northern Representative (2 year term), and Valley Plains Representative (2 year term). Vice President 2025
This three-year leadership commitment to the Board progresses to President 2026, and Past President 2027. You will:
- Work with an experienced Board in meeting the advocacy, educational, and professional promotion needs of Manitoba laboratory technologists and laboratory assistants.
- Meet, share ideas, and learn from your colleagues across the province and across the country.
- Attend LabCon and other exciting CSMLS opportunities in your Presidential year.
- Expand your horizons, develop and improve your networking, interpersonal, and communication skills, and open up a whole new world of laboratory opportunities.
Executive Assistant 2025
This is a two-year commitment to the Board. As Executive Assistant, you will:
• Work with an experienced Board to plan and book MAMLS events including continuing
education, advocacy, Annual General meeting and fundraising.
• Help with posting events on MAMLS website
• Record minutes in the absence of the Secretary
• Represent MAMLS at LABCON once during two-year term.
• Working together with a supportive team and encouraging other medical lab
professionals to participate in events to help build a supportive community.
Marketing and Communications Director 2025
This is a two-year commitment to the Board. As the Marketing and Communications Director,
you will:
• Work with an experienced Board in meeting the advocacy, educational, and professional
promotion needs of Manitoba laboratory technologists and laboratory assistants. This
includes submission of a yearly budget and regular reports to the Board for all Marketing
and Communication activities.
• Regularly organize volunteers and attend events that promote the medical laboratory
profession throughout Manitoba.
• Post events and communicate with members via social media regarding Marketing and
Communications activities.
• Meet, share ideas, and learn from your colleagues across the province and across the
country.
• Expand your horizons, develop, and improve your networking, interpersonal, and
communication skills, and open a whole new world of laboratory opportunities.
Northern Representative 2025
This is a two-year commitment to the Board. As Northern Representative, you will:
• Work with an experienced Board to liaise information between MAMLS and the rural
membership.
• Help advocate the needs of rural membership.
• Attend MAMLS Board of Directors meetings, by virtual means.
• Meet new people, share ideas, and learn from your colleagues across the province and
across the country.
Valley Plains Representative 2025
This is a two-year commitment to the Board. As Valley Plains Representative, you will:
• Work with an experienced Board to liaise information between MAMLS and the rural
membership.
• Help advocate the needs of rural membership.
• Attend MAMLS Board of Directors meetings, by virtual means.
• Meet new people, share ideas,
and learn from your colleagues across the province and
across the country.
